The image on Eric’s business card is the Vitrivian Man by Leonardo da Vinci, because it is so much more than just an image. “The human body is represented as the criterion for architecture and art. The golden section. An intriguing mathematical proportion (of 1:1.685) that you encounter everywhere around you: on the maps of Greek structures, in paintings, in nature and in our own body, the navel being the center. I admire da Vinci’s versatility (he was architect, inventor, writer, painter, engineer and sculptor at the same time!), but his world-famous drawing also draws attention to highlighting people. This is how I see the communications discipline and what I continuously keep at the back of my mind. Thinking in terms of stakeholders, focusing attention on people. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it’s hard, but is should always be done in the right proportions!”
